Chargers couldn't even handle the Pats AT HOME! Even with Brady's 3 picks!

I really did think the Chargers would go all the way, that supreme choke-job proves that schottenheimer blows.

And next year EVERYONE is going to have to figure out how to beat my Titans!!! Good Luck!

Ok, I'm footballed out. No sports to watch until the masters in April...Time to plant my hops now...

yeah, like why didn't he just give the ball to LT all through the second half? Stupid 15 yard unnecessary penalty late in the 4 th quarter, etc. They signed schottenheimer for next year. bad move IMO. Not taking that 1st quartet FG, what an idiot.

Oh, BTW paleoman, what with the US Dream Teams in Basketball and Baseball losing international competitions, it isn't a foregone conclusion that a US Championship means they are "World Champions", heh heh, sorry to point that out, but it isn't 1963 anymore. Maybe the Czech Team could beat the Colts! 8O

Oh yeah, they beat Grossman. Who saw that one coming?

But you still have to give credit to Manning and the Colts. They went the hard way (no 1st round buy), it rained, Manning's thumb was injured.

I never pulled for the Colts in years past because they always appeared as a soft team (relative to the rest of the league) and seemed to like to pass a lot more. But with their stiff D and playing through the elements with power running, I don't feel upset that a dome team or Indy won.

Chargers are favored already 9:2 to win next year. Indy had those kinds of odds last year and we saw how that fell out. LT won't have as great a season (most likely), but Rivers will be more stable throughout the year.

No repeat for Colts though... Go Steelers!

For World Champions, I think the Super Bowl Champs should have to play Aussie football against Aussie champs. That'd be a game!

LT has been very consistent every year. That's why he's breaking all the records. He is shaping up to be the best running back ever. Pick your name, LT is better. And since consistency has not been a problem for him, why do you suppose he won't do as well next year? It isn't a flash in the pan for that guy. That's why I was pissed off that he only carried 7 times in the second half of a game that meant so much. It's enough to make you think the Mob has something to do with it.

good point, a lot of money rides on this stuff. That's why I say that the Mafia has got their hooks into this, somehow. Backroom talk: "you'll have it next year, Marty. We love LT, that kid's got it. The whole staff, we're impressed. You can retire on Hawaii just like Don Coryell. We're sure you guys will be the best of friends."

Damn, is there a conspiracy for everything?

I merely meant that even if you have a rap for not winning the big one (Manning and Schottenheimer), if you keep trying, eventually you'll punch it through, just like the Colts this year.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'L')T has been very consistent every year.

If they are smart, they won't use him as much next year as long as Turner is still there, at least that's what I'd do. Get him the ball 15 or so times a game (runs, throws, and recs) in order to rest him for the playoffs, where you can unleash a very fresh LT.

BTW, look up S. Alexander. Up until this year, he was just as consistent as LT (although not nearly as spectacular). Don't go thinking that LT is impermeable to injuries. He is a running back (sorta) afterall.

And yes, in 5 or so years when he retires, he'll leave as one of the top 3 if not the best.

I am glad peyton got his ring. He was due. I dont think they were the best team this year, but they won when it mattered. I dont know how the Pats blew that 18 point lead. I actually think the bolts would have won the SB if they would have kept Brees. But oh well, congrats to Peyton, he is one heck of a qb. Having Harrison and wayne does help though. PS, I am a huge Rams fan from St. Louis. Steven Jackson is a beast.

Why not? If these jerk-offs can make a conspiracy for 9-11 why can't I make one for the super bowl? Chargers should have won.

don't be surprised if the Colts go back again next year, their defense is young and they showed how potent they could be in the playoffs. And with the addition of Addai the run game is going to be a big factor as well. But it was a great game, but not as good as the AFC championship against the pats, that was a nailbiting, whiteknuckle game and one of the best second halfs of football ever.
