Fantastic Anti-War Speech

Unread postby theragtopguy » Sat 28 Oct 2006, 14:56:49

There was an anti-war rally in Utah at the end of August, here's the speech the Mayor of Salt Lake City gave.

It was the best expression that I have seen about the war and this administration in general.

Be warned Bush lovers, you won't like it!

"frightening culture of obedience" indeed. Have you ever read about Genghis Khan? Horrifying, they butchered all who resisted. But those who accepted the new order of things prospered. It became possible for Marco Polo to visit China. They set up postal service and kept the roads in good repair. Enlightened despotism was the system. The world's greatest empire (there's never been one like it) You could travel from Paris to Beijing without fear of bandits or robbers (once you got to Russia anyway)

There was an anti-war protest in Utah in August?

I would think something like that would make it onto CNN, being the "leftwing propaganda machine" it is...

Fantastic speech, though most of the things he calls for will tremendously upset the movers and shakers in the govt's and industry's halls of power.
