I was thinking, you know with all the BS being spouted by the neocons and all these other groups, potentially someone might be able to get alot of money for delivering more factual news that not many people hear about. Especially if they make it entertaining.

If the regular news is so filled up with BS, and most people can sense that it's filled up with BS, and they find another news outlet that provides them with factual news of whats actually going on, then that news group might start to grab the masses attention, because the masses wouldn't be able to rely on the regular news media.

This would be especially neat if they integrated other peoples news, into their news. They could use the internet to broadcast their news, and then if the mainstream media actually had something significant, some story worth watching, they could have a link to it, so that people could go to that news stations website.

In essence, it would filter out all the BS, while using what's good about the rest of the media.

Then if the big players actually wanted to get people's attention again, they would have to stop offering BS, and start offering valuable programming. No more stories about how Timmy stubbed his toe, but now he feels all better. Stories about things that really matter!

Of course, they'd need to water it down, because people can't handle the full shocking truth, and they'd have to lighten the tone. Perhaps they could use laughter/humor to make everything seem less threatening and frightening. It would be especially good if they offered possible solutions to the problems that they discussed that were dire.

Like for home heating cost, they could discuss ground water heating. For cooling, ground water cooling during the Summer.

The main function of this group would be to deliver news to you, to act as a filter and a focusing tool so people can get the news they want, and to solve people's general problems, but providing readily available but unknown solutions.

Anyways I just wanted to share my thoughts on this.
