cool. I'm working on a painting of the 805 freeway crossing Mission Valley in San Diego. The cars are speeding by but they are in various states of disappearing altogether. The vegetation appears to be cascading down the opposite hillside as the freeway climbs up to the mesa. The effect is vaguely that of the inevitability of it flowing out into the lanes: a man versus nature thing where nature wins in the long run. Won't be done for a while though. I was first struck by the grace of the natural lines of the scene.
