Who's the no 1 Peak Oil celeb?

Unread postby Schweinshaxe » Thu 17 Aug 2006, 18:22:10

I'm shocked to hear that Ruppert has taken his survival kit and left the US. I hope he didn't forget to put a wire saw and 10 metres of fishing line in it. If he did, he's toast!

That makes me wonder however... Who's really the most popular Peak Oil celeb out there? Maybe Ruppert felt that he was going the same way as Brooke Shields and Kim Wilde did. I mean, from being a star with their posters hanging in every boy’s room to being forgotten by the entire World.

BTW, are there posters of Peak Oil celebs? I'd love to have a poster with a topless Matthew R. Simmons next to my Manowar posters in my bedroom. I think that if you want to make people interested in peak oil you have to add a little sex, violence and a cool soundtrack. You have to make it a little bit more MTV if you know what I mean.

Picture this: Savinar parachutes from a B-2 bomber to the Wolfenstein soundtrack and kills a couple of Nazis, communists and terrorists with a samurai sword when he lands, and saves Nicole Kidman who was being held hostage by these evil doers.

He then fights his way through the jungle (here we have snakes, scorpions and spiders everywhere). While they struggle to survive, Savinar explains the Hubbert Peak to Nicole. Maybe Dan Akroyd could step in here in a scene and explain the Peak Oil - UFO connection on a chalkboard.

When he and Nicole finally arrive in Monaco they buy a yatch and sail away while they drink champagne and Savinar delivers hilarious one-liners to Michael Bolton music. What do you think?

Anyway, back to topic. Who’s your favourite Peak Oil celeb?

Silly question!

Schwein- learn to make beer or distill spirits, open up a post peak speakeasy with good local bands on friday night and then you will be a Legend.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Nicole is kind of old for Matt, couldnt you get Scarlett Johansson?

Fair enough!

But I'd like to keep Nicole. Let's say I throw in Scarlett and we have a scene where she and Nicole are {edited for language by emersonbiggins} i after he has won a battle against evil South American jungle Injuns.

Maybe Ron Jeremy could join the party as a mysterious ex-Navy SEAL sent out by the administrators of PO.com to look for them. Maybe Savinar is the only person who knows the secret PO-handshake and Aaron wants to know it so that he can rule the World. Something like that...

How's that sound?
