Lighthouse,
You silly rabbit... I'm now doing what's called 'venting'. These terms and words, and many of those added by Miki and others, are overused and improperly used to the point where they have lost much of their meaning.
For example, take the term 'energy efficient' when used to describe the air conditioner installed in our temperate-climate house and in our previous houses. They are completely unnecessary and we've only used them to be sure they work at the time of purchase or sale. They are 'energy wasters' yet are called 'energy efficient'.
Oh, and one more from recent news is 'democracy' to describe the situation in Iraq... heh. That's another favorite I thank Miki for adding.
Another in the long list of examples is a recent article in the Orgonian about someone who built a $700,000 'energy efficient' second home in the mountains... like a another house was needed... all that 'energy efficient' energy wasted in construction, heating and driving to this second home he'll use a few weeks a year. But it's touted in a big article as 'energy efficient'.
It's maddening, I tell ya!
