I know many doomers think that the United States is going to completely collapse, but it's not. It's just going to become even more dictatoral. We will have a government that makes Stalin look like Ghandi, and that will be Orwellian in every sense of the word.
Now, there are two possible roads as I see it, either A) become a loyal and useful servant of your new overlords, or B) get the hell out of the country, take as many resources/technology/knowledge/seeds/tools/infrastructure/gold as you can, and try and form a community in some place of the world that will be more unstable.
Places that are more unstable, even though they will have a bunch of people in them, causing all sorts of problems, will still be better off than tyranny USA(unless you work for the government). It will be better for those who prepare to find someplace outside the United States, that will likely be destablized, because any place that will be stablized will ultimately have some sort of socialist/communist tyrannical regime in it(excluding places for the super, super elite, so that they can get away, and possibly Switzerland(but it takes 1 mil to become a Swiss citizen(as far as I know))) and will be just as bad, if not worse than the United States.
Going to the unstable lands means dealing with anarchy vs controlled oppression. That means of course you actually have a chance of fighting back against the thugs/warlords. With the massive government being the thug/warlord, you can't fight back, because besides fighting the government, you also have to contend with the scared sheeple, who have been effectively conditioned to obey their masters.
Canada may be an option for U.S citizens, however I wouldn't be suprised to see a huge number of Americans trying this exact same thing, and in response, the Canadians might start a massive anti-immigration program to keep the U.S citizens out.
The only place I can think of that might be good, would be far Eastern Russia, due to the fact that it's off the Radar, and there is so large an expanse of land that it's not cost effective for the government to fully regulate it.
Anyway, what are your opinions on this matter?
