I keep on watching INVASION and wondering if there are anything 'hidden' messages?

I mean in the show they talk about, about life and death, about balance, about Darwinism ,etc

I keep drawing parallels with the 'new people' as Peak Oilers and
the 'dinosaur people' as the rest of the world set for extinction.

Wierd how in the one episode it had the NEW people stocking up on water and supplies in preperation for a 'Worst storm' even though the storm hasn't even materialized yet, the new people could just 'feel it' like a presence.

They talk about Robin Hood, the Cambrian explosion, Darwinism, and how everyone is in DENIAL of what is about to happen.

Last nights episode for example had a news reporter being cut off when she told the truth, and immediately afterwards the news stations says it was a mistake and that no storm is coming at all.

This show is hinting at something that they can't afford to fuss up to in reality??

I haven't seen the show, but I read elsewhere and I believe there are lots of subtle hints being dropped about peak oil/scarcer resources to gradually, subconsciously condition people to not be too shocked about it when it finally gets worse and worse..

Like the BP (beyond petroleum) carbon footprint commercials

Like the lights half on/half off commercials

Like the disappearing/dropping things if plastic wasn't there commercials (all we need is people!....yeah, who need food, shelter, clothing, transportation, stuff, not to mention who EXPECT a high standard of living)
