This is kind of like the "another record" forum, only with an optomistic twist I guess. I want to if possible have people kinda keep track of recent major oil discoveries throughout the world. I guess I can kind of start with the recent discovery of up to 10 billion barrels in the Gulf of Mexico that was announced by President Fox of Mexico. Also I beleive they discovered over 1 billion barrels in northern Afghanistan not too long ago either.

A Mexican that I work with tells me that Mexico is jazzed by the Fox announcement of the 10 billion barrel find. Everybody seems to think they are going to be rolling in money down south now. I try to tell him about the 84 million barrels a day currently being used up and how 10 billion is not that much, but he's not buying it.

Wow, so it's not even just Americans that are idiots when it comes to oil. It's gonna suck for him when the truth comes out that it's probably less than 10 billion barrels and might actually just be a common reserve, 0 barrels.

If it does prove true, the only people rolling in money with by the corrupt government. He's way to naive.
