Surfing the Web Anonymously

Unread postby Aaron » Tue 17 Jan 2006, 10:16:35

Lots of speculation & questions about your right to privacy, and the ethics of groups which collect information about you.

Believe me when I tell you this is one of the fastest growing segments of our new global culture, and is being explored by companies marketing their wares, governments managing their citizens, and criminals phishing for booty.

If some of that was not clear to you, suffice to say that there is big money in your information... and also various degrees of control characteristics. It's not so much the real you they care about, rather the "meta-you". That's information about you... not you yourself...

Like where you live, how much money you make, political affiliation etc... etc...

And like any good tool, this information harvesting can be either good or bad, depending on how it's used.

The lasting question is... of course... Do you as an individual, have any say in the matter?

According to geeks like these you do indeed.

So from geeks like me, from geeks like them, to all you meta-Geeks out there.

Here ya go... anonymous surfing made simple.

download (You may need to select a few mirrors before you get the file)

You will need something like this to make the CD if you don't have other software.

It should be noted that I'm pretty much an UberGeek, and I don't use this software myself, mainly because I want people to know who I am and the work I do.

But that's what it should be... a choice.
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.
