$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smallpoxgirl', 'W')ell...there are so far 3 honest people out of 15 respondents. You are ALL bowing down to authority and you better believe it. About the only person in the US not bowing down to authority right now is that guy in NH, and he will bow or die. (And no you don't get to be all superior if you live in Europe or New Zealand. You're bleating along with the rest of us.)
I suppose a tribal arrangement with small numbers of hunter/gatherers would not have arrangements of authority? but even for them there are some kinds of authority set-ups, aren't there? at least vis-a-vis the children and the elders? I don't know. But I do know that life for us would be impossible and we would all soon be dead without delegation and social sanction of relationships of authority. That is the human condition. Or so it seems to me. I'm open to suggestions, how do we abolish all social arrangements where some people wield some sort of limited authority over others? And also, unless one is absolute dictator, everyone has some authority that they must answer to. And even absolute dictators answer to the necessity of constant vigilance against coup plots and the danger that they will wind up hung from a lamppost. So that would seem to mean that we are all born sheeple and there isn't a damn thing we can do about it, except to run off into the woods and eat roots and worms.
