The "higher power" is a different animal and should be addressed in the plural anyway by default. It might be the awareness that we are nothing but sheep headed for the slaughter bank, Gregor Ivanovich Gurdjieff was a brain spreading that kind of thought material back in the 1920's.

Gurdjieff believed that man lives his life in a form of sleep, and that higher levels of consciousness are possible. Sounds like simplistic wisdom - but it goes way deeper than one might expext.

If in fact higher levels of consciousness are possible and if the can be "reproduced" upon request we deal with a tool and vehicle of unheard proportions. It is like having access granted to ones own databank and programming.

Remember that in the early 70's this fellow named John Lilly wrote a book called "Programming and Metaprogramming the human Biocomputer"? I was able to get a copy though Amazon and needless to say, it can only be understood under the influence of mindaltering substances - however - to even go so far and claim that we can access our own databank is pretty darn bold and the true legacy of the folks that utilized the substance that we talk about in this thread.

Gurdjieff

John c. Lilly's most famous work was that conducted with Dolphins....if you get a chance read Lilly on Dolphins...it chronicles his work with several dolphins in which he claims to have taught them rudimentary communication. Amazing stuff. Lilly's connection with LSD was the early studies he did in deprivation tanks ....imagine being the first person to sit for an extended period in a deprivation tank whacked on blotter? Timothy Leary claimed Lilly was his own personal hero....mind you he's dead ...no, no, no, no he's outside looking in.

Specop. I'm shocked at you. You did know that you're not allowed to buy guns if you're an "unlawfull user of any controlled substance"?

Even simple alcohol, be it the methyl- or ethanol version is neurotoxic . So first of all what you state is in disconnect with what we try to touch on here and secondly you just gave away that you have not been born yet.

Although LSD is generally considered nontoxic, other dangers may arise from bad judgments made while under the influence of the drug. Like many drugs, LSD may temporarily impair the ability to make sensible judgments and understand common dangers, thus making the user susceptible to accidents and personal injury.

So? The event is in the middle of course. I am sitting here on my desk 10,000 miles away but am convinced to one day crack the 'code of time'.

Imagine, once you could dip in the past (yes of course the past of other individuals and for for the most part their emotional experiences) you would possibly get a grip on what we all work on here!

Time!

Where do you get good acid these days?

BTW, I read Storming Heaven: Lsd and the American Dream a long time ago. It was a great read.
