Are you afraid to die?

Hell yes I am! After death there's nothing. I don't want to be nothing until the last possible moment.

Yes, I'm afraid of the possibility of going to hell if there is such a place in the afterlife.

I don't know what happens after death. I'm not certain there is an afterlife but I'm not discounting it either, I just don't know.

Death itself, not really. But a slow and painful death, yes. I will say I would never lower myself to begging to strangers on the street; I'd find a bridge to jump off of first [smilie=new_beammeup.gif]

Yes that it true also. If things get so bad post oil that I'm in a starvation situation with no way out I don't think I'd wait around for the slow process of turning into bones. Sorry, but I'm not gonna live in 3rd world conditions of filth, lack of food, and basic needs.

The only good thing to say about death by starvation is it is actually relatively quick. One can survive and be fairly comfortable, although progressively weaker physically, for several weeks if one lacks food but has water. When real starvation finally sets in, my understanding is that painful hunger arrives and death is imminent in a few days.

OTOH a life of chronic severe undernourishment, enough to sufficiently but barely sustain life, is needless to say a life of unending misery, physical and mental.

The only thing I am afraid of is that I didn't do everything I could to show people the Truth before I die.

Why be afraid, AE? God promised those who put their trust in His Son, will never die.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

I can't say whether or not I am afraid to die as I've never been dead before to know what death is like. It could potentially be a refreshing change of pace, but I'm certainly not ready to throw everything I've worked for away either, unless it is the result of a necessary risk to protect my own personal freedom. Better dead than a slave. In the meantime, there's still things I'd like to do, but if that's cut short somehow, not much I can do about it.
The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the old growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder. ~Thomas Jefferson
