Given the consolidation of econimies in both Europe(Euro) and next in Asia, how can we strive towards a powerful north american trading bloc that will destroy new competitors in the global economy? I have proferred one idea which I know will be met with outrage and revulsion.
I first want to base my idea on the opinion that America is superior in it's political system, economy, peoples, and world positioning, than any other country in the western hemisphere, if not the world. Right now we have a mass of immigration from third world countries pooring over our borders to satisfy labor demands in the global economy.
What I propose is a three part solution:
1) Acquistion of Canada, and her complete assimilation into America.
2) Setting up protectorates of all latin countires all the way down to the panama canal so that all economic, political decisions of these nations are decided by the american system
3) Racial quotas to be initiated whereby the entire American population can never fall below 90% "non-hispanic white"
By doing this will not only ensure an economic hegemony, but also a military one. The truth is America needs to dominate North America in every way. Although, the latin peoples will feel we are enslaving them, their quality of life will improve once they cede control to the US.
As far as the american population goes, the blacks must be sent back to Africa. They will never stop being bitter complainers in this society and do more to hold us down than to help us rise. Also, all Muslims and non europeans should be summarily deported unless they possess highly needed skills or knowhow. All latin american peoples are to become the permanent working class, with a large white ruling class presiding in America. Only then can America be in a position to conquer the rest of the earth in a couple generations. Let me know what you think?

1. "Acquisition?" You mean take by force, don 't you? Besides, Canada is already dominated economically by transnational corporations based primarily in the US.
2. Ditto, except that this time the US completely dominates Latin America, or tries to. Where have you been? PS, I don't think the residents of that area feel too "protected" by this arrangement.

But just for fun, I'll give my opinion. Honestly, I think we should do the polar opposite of Tim's idea. I think the best thing that could be done would be to drastically increase people's number of freedoms, transfer defensive power from the police and military to the people themselves, and stop being an empire of any sort.
And I just won't get started on the whole racial thing, except to say that if we were to put people in their place by race, this whole continent would go back to the natives.
But, actually, Tim IS right in at least one aspect--his plan would be excellent for taking over the world. If only I cared for such things.
