I was flipping through the channels, and on the "Montel" show, they were talking about high energy prices this winter and possibly food shortages in the US northeast. He had a psychic on the show to talk about all kinds of problems, I thought it would be fun to hear what she said about energy. I quit listening though when he said "Sylvia, you're from California, what are the gas prices out there?" and she said "Oh, 2 or 3 dollars..." You're a freakin' psychic and you can't narrow it down better than that? Talk about clueless - and I wonder how many Americans listen to people like "Montel" or "Ellen" for advice on stuff like that.
Also, I noticed that all of the ideas to save energy involve spending money. Buy more insulation, buy a programmable thermostat.
The good news is, the psychic said there will be no bird flu pandemic.
