Bible Bar
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '[')b]The Bible Bar is a highly nutritious, all natural nutritional bar made from the seven foods (traditionally referred to as the seven species) that God calls good in the Book of Deuteronomy: wheat, barley, vines (raisins), figs, pomegranates, olive oil, and honey. Just before leading the Israelites into the Promised Land, the LORD describes the land as follows:

“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey.” (Deuteronomy 8:7-8)
.....
The Bible Bar is so nutritious and healthy that it actually represents a complete, well-balanced meal. Each bar is bursting with God-given nutrients: protein, monounsaturated fats, complex carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients, and fiber. But yet, it is so much more than just a health bar. God obviously had some very important reasons for linking these seven foods to the Promised Land. Therefore, when you eat a Bible Bar, you are consuming seven foods that God called good and in a form that is easy and convenient to use.

If I were God I would be pretty pissed now ... and throw a 40% depletion rate post peak upon the oil fields (and the gasoline tanks) of the infidels.
One question : If a civilization is willing to sell off his religion to make a $, how would the same civilization respond to something as important as PO?
I think my doomerosity level went from 3 to the level suggested by KillJOY's signature 8O 8O

What's funny is, that Bible Bar sounds damn good. Considering how many food bars are bursting with trans-fats and frankenfoods, I'd sooner chomp into a Bible Bar.

There's actually a lot of fringe-Christian groups who actually care about eating healthy food. Sure, God told Christians to eat Wonder Bread and Oscar Meyer beloney with mayo, and millions follow the "white bread middle american" diet and get prematurely fat, aged, and ill for the Lord, but some Christians branch off and actually believe in healthy food as much as any sandal-wearing tree-hugger. Shocking!

Mmmmm.... Bible Bar (Homer Simpson voice)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('KiddieKorral', 'A')nyone ever tried Ezekiel 5:7 (or something like that) bread?

Yep! The reason it is different is due to the processing of the grains and the very low temperature used to cook to "bread", preserving the nutrients.

If grains aren't prepared properly, then eating them has an adverse effect, no matter how many vitamins and 'fortifying' they do to the stuff (enriched white bread, Nutri Grain breads, etc.)
