You should have heard Michael Savage yesterday! A raging maniac. He wants to round up all immigrant muslems, not just check their bags.

You outta heard Al Frankin that raging maniac, the other day talking about how wrong it is to cut people off government assistance, even after its proven they could work!

But one thing I will not miss is the bleeding hearts, both conservative and liberals trying to mold everyone into what they think we should be.
Oh the sadness when you hear the loudest sound you have ever heard, the sound of millions of "take care of me's" suddenly realizing there lives are lost.

Oh, I heard him, alright. He's out of his mind half the time. I suppose you've heard his haranguing homophobic diatribes as well. He's representative of the "absolutes" crowd that I'm no fan of. By that, I mean instead of applying contextual sense to situations (like rounding up terrorists), he simply says "bomb Mecca, bomb Medina, that'll end the terrorism!" Straight out of the "kill them all, let God sort 'em out" department. I fear he has an appeal as somewhat of a nationalistic paternal figure, in the mold of a 50s Bronx father or something. Some even think he's a closet liberal that is trying to radicalize the right (as if they needed any help...)

Why is it that the right-wingers are clever showmen and entertainers while the lefties are just a bore? Oh, well, I won't miss any of them.

I won't miss any either, this is not a political problem its a humanity problem.
But as to your statement I always found Mr. Moore to be a very clever showman and entertainer.
And Bill O'Reilly to be a bore.
Ah well thats why I parse articles from google rather then actually listen or read any one source.

I think it has something to do with the amount of non-PC things that you hear on the right-wing shows. We've been so conditioned to react to politically incorrect statements in aghast that when we're bombarded with it by the right-wingers (and, OH, their listeners!), it's astounding. It's a masochist's dream.

I have to say the only left-wing TV or radio show I listen to is "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. Perhaps the message of the left is better left in visual satire.

Sure, we get the better stuff from the left, in my opinion too, in visual media. (Bowling For Columbine was a brilliant piece of agitprop) Plenty of "mind-numbed robots" to go around on both sides. The other day, somebody linked to a Christian Fundamentalist radio show in Las Vegas on which Ruppert was appearing. The talk before his spot came up was of how the UN is trying to take over with The New World Order. :?

hear hear! Lawyers and admen: :x Let's hear it for the farmers and bakers and smiths and doctors and carpenters (though I suppose we'll always be stuck with lawyers unless we get down to 6 on the doomerosity scale. Didn't Saturday Night Live have a Cave Man Lawyer played by Joe Piscopo? guess we're stuck with them no matter what)

The Disney Corporation and all fake forms of reality. Even faker in light of PO. As Kunstler has stated, they've long stood as our nation's plasticky utopia, inhibiting our hopes to actually create anything resembling authentic urbanism and community. They are a mere respite, a horrible excuse for leaving our own once-great communities in concrete and big-box shambles.

Aren't you a bit young to know that phrase? Can you name the movie?
