$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Kingcoal', 'W')ell so far the commentary has been that "Penn & Teller are idiots."
I think we have a consensus? Since we have a consensus, the issue is
"settled science," right? Every one knows that Penn & Teller are idiots,
that's settled science. Well, I think they are great! Science is debate,
not polemic arguments and ad hominem attacks.
Ad hom? Settled science? These guys aren't scientists, they're
performers who put on excellent presentations. They do shows to
fit the more intelligent/skeptical demographic and many old fans like
me have lost interest in them because they put a corporate spin on
a lot of their conclusions. They aren't research fellows because of
great academic achievements.
And really, does anyone think it's wrong to ask about the credentials of
these guys? Oh no, you ad hominemed a clown! Seriously these
guys went to clown school, these aren't hard ass scientists. While
we're at it how about we let the janitor teach physics.

come out looking great. That's the game, it's simple. Their
game plan isn't genius or anything, it's just good business.
But ya know, that's why a lot of people don't like them...
