2B Trailer

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')YNOPSIS
New York, soon. Technology’s exponential growth is fast and furious. Human life is in the process of being transformed. Mankind stands on the verge of reengineering its biology—merging with the incredibly intelligent machines it has created. Mia 2.0, the world’s first ‘Transbeman’ and her inventor, the eccentric Dr. Tom Mortlake, conduct a bold political experiment designed to prove that human reliance on the fragile flesh body is over and ‘eternal life‘ is at hand.

Set in the near future, "2B" portrays a familiar decaying world on the cusp of great transformation and awesome wonders. The script is based upon real science and evolving technologies. The ‘technohuman’ conundrum is the hottest and most controversial topic of this century. This film is an entertainment designed to jump-start the conversation about the moral and religious questions raised by the bio-tech revolution. What if you could die and live forever?

WFF Press Release

Hmmm... "a decaying world on the cusp of a great transformation" - that's how I see things, too.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'D')esigned to accompany the issues raised by 2B and Caprica, the Woodstock Film Festival engages the future head-on with the presentation of a ground-breaking panel, Redesigning Humanity - The New Frontier: If artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, genetic engineering and other technologies will, within the next 50 years, allow human beings to transcend the limitations of the body, how will our world fundamentally change under those conditions?

THE ERA OF FLESH IS OVER!!!

Lol, if we needed to be convinced that at the heart of AI dreams, artificial life false promises, and other little "scientific" lies, there was nothing but puritanism and self hate, I guess we got something like a proof, or at least a very good hint about it ! :) :-D

Wow. yeah. So AI is transcendental techno-religion that would grant its followers Immortality, and cleanse their demonic physical bodies of those fluids that debase man's great intellect? I never thought of it that way. Wow. And I thought is was just a wack-wack job :mrgreen:

Note : wouldn't like to see Carlhole thread disapear further to two pseudo cynical messages, even though the good side could still be in question! However this reporting of movies and science future imminent discoveries on a common stand is still impressive. Even if techno projects and movies are the same thing in a sense, that's true, a book building initiative in both cases.

One thing peak oil teaches you real quick is that the Star Trek future we were promised ain't gonna happen in our lifetimes.

It's nice to dream though.

You guys are just jealous 'cause there are no civilizational-collapse/new-stone-age movies out there.
