Sunspot number SIXTY EIGHT

Unread postby SidneyTawl » Tue 12 Jul 2005, 15:18:46

We are supposed to be in a low solar cycle according to NASA and current theory. The sun has been anything but and now this number SIXTY EIGHT sunspots. Suns got the measels LOL.

Take a look at this gif.

Anyone remember a number this high even in a HIGH period.

http://spaceweather.com/images2005/03jul05/midi360.gif

Oh,and by the way also notice how fast our Hurricane season began and looks like it could be a reallll doozy.

Just what is making the Sun, planets, etc. all show appearances of warming/unusal activity.

maybe the stuff legends are made if. I hope not, I do hope its just a natural cycle. Of course the stuff legends is made of is a natural cycle too.

I am an observing and taking notes and seeing what fits who theory and who can make the best case.

right now Van F's theory is not one I dismiss at all. Don't say its true. But I don't scoff at it, not anymore, not after the predication of what a comet is. Plus he predicts the possiblity of the unusal solar activity and more we see today.

Scoff if you will, but most of the people in the world today scoffed and dismiss Peak Oil. ANd you can't understand that.

Each to his own, But I will keep looking and watching and see if someone can give the answer.

But from where I stand the current model of physics is way off base.

SIXTY EIGHT.

it will be interesting to see if earthquake and volcanic activity start to jump even more now. Weather may get wacky too.

Yeaa the sun is acting up and it effects us, But something is making the Sun act up.

What is it.

Well, if we want to believe the 'remote viewer' Major Dames, the sunspot activity could be leading us up to a 'Kill Shot' coming from the sun that's going to cook us. If the shuttle goes up and has to come back down for something related to unexpected meteor showers then look out!

Dr. Thomas Van Flandern . Oh by the way the guy that came up with the dirty snowball theory
His name was Fred Whipple, I am sure some of you remember those Charmin commercials he did (just kidding folks). Whipple was from Harvard.

Van F 's model of where comets/asteroids came from may now become the leader and Fred W. will go into the wastebasket it seems. Van F also has another theory that explains some of todays other solar system anonomlies, He isn't stupid or a wacko. Though people that disagree,..they do tend to call people that shake their comfortable world that.

Surely PEAK OILERS know this syndrome. Most of this is news to most of you. Why I am going a little slow. Keep the wacko as out of it as much as possible. C'ongratulations Miss Murgatroy you have CHOSEN curtain NUMBER THREE, and Johnny what do we have for Ms Murgatroy.

Well Ed Dames has made so many predications from his remote viewing that his record is about laughable.

No no ed Dames for me.

THO, the killshot is a possibility. Remember that power blackout on the east coast and Canada. Lucky glancing blow. NO X caliber in that group yet. M class.

I stick to data as much as possible that can be verified.

like "silica from a beach on hawiia to make my jumps"

and I will back off if I don't have the right data.

something ed doesn't do. But he does sell lots of books,

me I don't write them. This is just a hobby for me.,

I prefer to make movies for my non reality, and then look at science etc, as my hobby.

Sixty eight. and if you looked at that GIF its really scarry.

Heck most aren't in that shot rotated to the other side. Be interesting to watch when you they can't put a full loop together, or will it really be fun.

Sidney,
I'm going to cut to the chase on this. And I think I speak for most of uf when I say this. And lastly, I'm not trying to insult you, berate you or otherwise be mean.
Get to the fucking point man! Its all and good to "lead a horse to water" and all and make us find the answers for ourselves, but all I could find was some really wacky out there theories.
So please. No more cryptic ho-hum. Please. Get to the point. What IS all this strange cosmos stuff your talking about?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', 'W')hat IS all this strange cosmos stuff your talking about?

well not to get into the strange cosmos stuff, I would just like to remind everyone to have a look out for Nothern lights over the next few days (which usually follow elevated sunspot activity)

that's all, you many all now resume your wackiness

It's unusual, but hardly rare, to see a lot of sunspots during the low point of the
solar sunspot cycle. The sun can produce sunspots whenever the hell it feels like
it. I've seen much more interesting (and larger) groups of sunspots looking at the
sun through my scope + solar filter.

It's thought that sunspots may indirectly effect the weather by influencing the amount
of cloud cover. Something about the charged particles (which also cause aurora) acting
as nuclei for cloud formation.

Speaking of Aurora, I saw one of the most spectacular displays of my life this
last November. Covered the entire sky with just about every color you can imagine.
Very dynamic. I've been interested in astronomy my entire life, and will often check
for things like the northern lights (I'm at 43 N BTW). You can see some of the
images from the display here (inlcuding the culprit sunspot):
http://www.abe-n-doren.com/abe/astronom ... index.html
(My friend took these pictures of the display I just mentioned).

Not going to touch the rest of what you're implying... :)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'J')ust what is making the Sun, planets, etc. all show appearances of warming/unusal activity.

Well of course it has to be UNIVERSAL WARMING. Quick strike up a panel of media and funding hungry scientists of dubious background to study the issue after which the more politically savy men in charge can edit the material such that it clearly becomes due to the impact of man. In fact it is very obvious and generall accepted by the scientific community that while the aliens were beaming up all those cows...well the cows got naturally excited and of course lost control....creating huge masses of methane generating cowflop in outer space....and voila....UNIVERSAL WARMING. Damn....got to get on that funding band wagon!!

Speec op,

there's that word "wacky" again.

did you google Dr. Thomas Van Flandern

Did you read his theory of where comets and asteroids come from. Did you read how he came to that.

Its not wacky, and as long as people say that, its like people when I or you talk to them about PO and I get that response. I just move on.

The theory about how a planet could explode has many theories.

Van F has one that ties in with the above.

He may or may not be right, but the guy isn't stupid and not trying to sell fucking books.

Its obvious no one has made the fucking connection, and seen where this can go and thats why I don't "come out with it".

You have not done your research, and don't take this wrong either.

BUT

You're just like most of the younger and middle age generation. YOu want it NOW, give it to me. I don't need to research it so I can make a honest evaluation. I will use only what I know now. AS a member of the NOW/throw away generation this is the way you have been ingrained to accept things. NOt your fault really. Why I watch and see who and who does not at least fucking try. You haven't Goggle his name and read about at the very least his theory on the origination of comets. Okay, then pm me.

AND I COULD GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT HOW PEOPLE THINK ABOUT MY INVITATION TO EXPLORE OTHER POSSIBILITIES,

DUDE I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT PO FOR OVER THREE YEARS, AND I KNEW ABOUT IT BEFORE THAT, AND ONLY TRIED TO TALK TO THEM AFTER I HAD COVERED ALL THE BASES. GETTING FUNNY LOOKS AND WACKO THROWN AT ME JUST ROLLS OFF MY BACK DUDE.

Sorry to yell, but I would think POilers would understand doing fucking research before they jumped in. but I am beginning to believe I was wrong. I think most of you just grab it, because it doesn't shake their paradigm. You can at the very least understand running out of something because you do it everyday.

As I said, not until NASA releases the data. WHICH they still haven't, not a fucking peep.

Its pretty simple really if you do some research with his name. really.

Then you will understand why I don't take it further.

and for not doing your homework spec I am going to throw something else at you. ONLY speculation on my part. But think about this, and I am sure most of you have and wondered why.

The Administration, and all the other major countries of the world seem to be oblivious to the coming shortage, it really appears as if they don't care. Most of you think they should know and understand. They are in the business and understand the implications. Yet, not one move toward conservation. It is

don't worry be happy, all is well,

You hear from top officials and others outright fucking lies about oil and how much and where, and natural gas and all that stuff. You notice and wonder that right.

NOW really it does seem that way doesn't it.
NOw think about the possible reasons of don't worry be happy carry on. A stretch maybe, maybe not. Because it can be made to fucking fit. ( and no I don't think its because they think the planet is about to blow into pieces totally)(by the by its being bandied about now that all planets of a certain size will eventually blow)

This theory that grew from his insight into where comets and asteroids come from by their orbits.

Spec go find out why Dr. Thomas Van Flandern thinks one of the reasons a planet can explode is.

YOu will then find your answer.

thats it in a nutshell, then you have to decide based on evidence and what appears to be evidence but lack of and resistance to by NASA keeps it from being examined. As in low rez pictures from rover, going the other way when certain are in view in the distance. Grinding up obvious potentiol evidence of evidence of water and life (really) on mars, so they could get to the rock behind it. They did this spec and its fucking unbelievable either they are really really stupid or they have other reasons.

As you perhaps know many of the Bibles stories, lessons, etc, can be traced back to legends and explantions etc, of many previous cultures way back to earliest recorded times.

chew on that but I'm not going to put the food in your mouth,

I wil not go farther on my on until NASA confirms the spectral analysis of the ground based observatories.

cry and scream like a little baby to get attention. doesn't work on me. I tried to explain PO to people for a long long time. They don't laugh as much now, but they still don't understand, really. And its because they only pay attention to what they have learned and see today. They don't look at other possibilites and try to see in a new way.

I have never ever brought up what I am leading you guys too, because there was no evidence (there is, but you have to make up your mind on what is available and fill in some gaps like in all theories)

One reason is it will scare the hell out of most people. Why you need to at the very least understand the implications if he is correct. And you have to look at the man and his career and what his batting average is.

okay

Perhaps this is related to the Solar System movement through space and the forces that are acting on it from a different region of the universe.

We live in a dynamic system that is anything but a Swiss watch. :)

Well as I understand it the solar system is currently moving through the plane of the ecliptic, galactically speaking, and some people theorize that this period could include large extinction event type asteroid impacts (from the south) as we move through the plane....

But I have smaller things to worry about....

BiGG has you on his ignore list? I don't think so, Sid. But its funny, I hadn't thought that by quoting BiGG's post it would thereby make its way to your retinas, which otherwise it would not have. Sorry about that. I'm sure BiGG is chortling away. BTW, that MOON DOOMED thingy is hilarious. Reminds me of the old days when P. J. O'Rourke was putting out the National Lampoon Magazine.
