Soundtrack to "Into the Wild"

I know we have a thread on the movie (and book?) "Into the Wild." Where you're free to state what a dumbass/hero Chris Mcandless "Alexander Supertramp" was, or however you feel about him.

That aside. I don't think enough attention has been given to the Soundtrack to Into the Wild. It didn't win the Oscar for best soundtrack because it was otherworldly? Why didn't it win the Oscar? Shows what a fraud the Oscars are.

Eddie Vedder nailed it to the bone. Some of the best music I've heard in a while. The guy is a genius.

Yes he did.

I know this is secondary to today's crazy commodities action, but it just so happens that I've been listening to these songs all day. My favorite is Hard Sun even though it's just a cover.

The music struck me immediately when I started watching the movie. I only like a few songs from Pearl Jam, but yes, Eddie Vedder did nail this project.
