I hear you stu. After 9/11 I decided I was living with my head in the sand; when I pulled it out the S. DID H.T.F.!

I appreciate all your efforts in posting – I have learned much from your stories – but get your head out of your monitor and do something! (Copyright, some-time-last-year, Pops)
Right now I’m sweaty and covered with dirt from the garden. Hopefully that garden can help me be somewhat more removed from all of your worries (except the fallout part, but I came to terms with that when I was 10).
Obviously fallout, FEMA Relocation Camps, Roving Bands of the Walking Dead and all the rest are simply excuses to sit there (or here) and cavitate.
Cavitation: As an impeller's (in a pump), or propeller's (as in the case of a ship or submarine) blades move through a fluid, low pressure areas are formed as the fluid accelerates around and moves past the blades. The faster the blades move, the lower the pressure around it can become. If this pressure falls far enough, then the fluid will reach its 'vapor pressure'. As it reaches vapor pressure, the fluid, like boiling water, vaporizes and forms small bubbles of gas [1] (

The reason I copied that definition is that when cavitation occurs, the propeller is no longer acting against the resistance of the water but the much smaller resistance of the air bubble – IOW; the faster it works the behinder it gets.
Say it with me you Oilers Anon:

The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.
