California is again talking about repealing Prop 13 which would raise property taxes on hundreds of thousands if not millions of residents.
As things worsen, govts will try to squeeze money out of everyone throught raising income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, etc....
I am definitely budgeting for increased taxes in the future.
It's a possibility. But the French ruling classes are a little bit loathe to get too draconian, as the populace has a history of getting pissed off when they do.
