$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Revi', '1'). I lived in one of the most dangerous countries on the planet without a firearm for over 2 years.

2. The military and the cops confiscated firearms in New Orleans.

1. You weren't Guatemalan either. It was much more dangerous for the indigenous Indians than Americans. And those who were unarmed in Guatemala were at the mercy of the Army and rebels, as they were slaughtered by both sides. There also weren't thousands of just-escaped convicts forming raiding parties in Guatemala.

2. In Texas, if you come into my house without me letting you inside, I can legally shoot you deader than fried chicken, no questions asked. And unless you have a warrant, you are not coming in. End of story.

Besides, they passed a law in Texas to prevent authorities from confiscating firearms like they did in Louisiana.

Today was a video posted on youtube, I cant locate it now, and it showed a lying , burned corpse with typical risen hands in the middle of the rather big and busy street. There are were cars driving back and forth ($25 a gallon is a no biggie for haitians) , bunch of locals walking, talking , loitering, minding their business in general. They surely didnt look as malnourished, dehydrated victims under attack of diarrhea. So, that body was there for a week already ( my guess).
Whom exactly do they expect to move it from the center of the street? Is it typical for a Negro or Haitian customs/culture? Singing and clapping hands on top of rubble with live people inside, while foreign rescuers are busy digging also comes to mind.
Last thing I heard UN is trying to hire Haitians to clear rubble for $5 a day. So, my question is simple really: why do we need this more than they do?

I see some logic in that. I think the main reason is that they have no idea how to rectify the situation or have any motivation for it. What do they have to look forward to? They are completely bankrupt, economically and skill-wise.

The Germans were busy stacking bricks and clearing rubble from bombed buildings the same day the treaty was signed in WW-2.

yeah i get this " I dont want to work" thing. But leaving the bodies like this? What, they couldnt cover them with the rubble at least? There are businesses, residencies in the area. People have kids. Its a hazard finally, both to physical and psychological health.

here is the video, start at 1.30

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('eastbay', 'I')t's part of the USA now. Like it or not.

Lets join it up with DC (another badly governed place) and make it and DC the 51st state.

Since it is a failed state like Afghanistan and Pakistan, maybe we could call it Haitistan.
Actually not fair to DC residents, then. Could call it Blackistan I guess?

I thought the number was like 30,000, but apparently there are 200,000 Haitian illegal immigrants who are going to get "protected" status:

I think we'll forget about the place by next week. It's already in the back of the news cycle.

there are probably a good million or two Haitians who already legalized themselves.
the worst part is that this status will be extended many, many times and they wont even have to pay $500-600 of processing fees for workpermits/ets.

I noticed it too, hopefully they will give it a rest soon and Obama-mama wont be forced to waste more of my money there. Oh well, extra ad money flow last only so much on one topic.

I wouldn't mind chipping in for the relief effort, but I think it is the world's New Orleans, and most people would rather have it just go away so they don't have to think about Haiti.

They should rebuild the wrecked parts of Port au Prince and turn it into something, but I'll bet nothing happens.

If Chavez was not insane he might have a chance to live to see the day the US Empire falls. But instead of just patiently biding his time he makes statements like that which play right in to TPTB hands who want regime change there to steal Venezuela's oil.

No they should not. But you are free to find other bleeding heart liberals and " chip in". Please keep your hands away from my pockets while conducting your charitable effort.

Calling me a "bleeding heart liberal" doesn't erase the problem. 400,000 people are being set up in tent camps outside of Port au Prince right now.

The people from my church are already down there helping out.

What if "your people" were wiped out in a giant tornado.

All their nascar memorabilia was strewn over 4 counties.

Wouldn't you help them out?

Since we have so many "oilers" on this site:

Anyone heard that Cuba could be a Top Twenty Oil

deposits?

If my people were bordeline retard, professional welfarasts that were doubling their numbers every 20 years or so, just like " your people" in Haiti I most certainly wouldnt. I might even praise the lord for the blessing.
Anyways I am sure you do understand that whatever pain&suffering you alleviate there now will come back later , soon enough, 10-fold.
Btw there is a recent study showing that people can get euphoria from helping other people just like from sex, food and drugs. I guess this " feel good" thing is what matters, future be damned.

There can be no aid without the foresight of population control. It is a blessing in disguise when natural disaster thins the herd. For the bleeding hearts to fight the natural selection process only leads to overshoot induced ecosystem collapse bringing death to all. When viewing the bigger picture the aid hurts more than it helps. I know some will call me a monster for thinking such but that is the way it is.

Cops killing suspected looters in Haiti?

Unread postby SeaGypsy » Sat 23 Jan 2010, 12:06:58

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/ ... index.html

Certainly looks like summary execution and wounding with very dubious evidence.
