You sound rather afraid actually. I'm not surprised as we are essentially adrift and in the unknown climate arena with a gun at our head, desperately hoping that the chamber is empty. Wow. Great book. The world will warm and there is no way to stop it. Humans are depleting our dwindling resources faster than they are replaced and it's going to create all sorts of discomforts. Nothing can stop or slow this process. It's like he's reading po.com.

Lovelock describes in refreshingly stark detail the utter pointlessness of working via 'green' measures to turn our situation around and instead offering a few logical ideas on how to somewhat manage the coming catastrophe.

This book is a cold, hard assessment of our common situation from the vivid and unforgiving perspective of Gaia. Reserve it from your local library. It's a terrifying page-turner and a quick read.
