Survival is Everything

Saw this on TickerForum. Looks like I'm a bit behind in my preps. I need to start stalking my neighbors, wear an eye patch, and learn how to quickly cut a rump roast from a standing cow. Silly me, don't know how I missed those bits.

Heh, I'm betting this guy has read The Road.

I noticed the featured baseball bat was done-up incorrectly. It was obviously done for 'show' and not 'go'.

If you pound the nails into the business end of the bat with the nail heads protruding it renders the bat dangerously subject to getting stuck in victim #1's body thereby requiring frightening time consuming prying motions to lever it free for further (usually IMMEDIATE) use.

The proper way to equip a baseball bat with nails is to fully imbed an assortment of 25 or 30 standard 16d (3 1/2 inch) and 20d (4 inch) nails with their heads flat against the wood leaving only the sharp ends of the nails visible and protruding. Stuff the 20d's through the fattest part of the bat and pound the 16d's through the slender part located around 2/3's of the way from the grip just up from the label.

This has been your helpful survival tip for the day. Do NOT modify a bat like this in states or countries where it is illegal :)
