44% OF AMERICANS WOULD LIKE BUSH BACK AS PRESIDENT
http://althouse.blogspot.com/2009/12/44-of-americans-would-prefer-to-have.html

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'B')ut, really, who’d want to go back to a stupid cowboy who’d probably praise war while talking about peace, and insult Europeans with his ignorance of diplomatic etiquette? Thank goodness those days are behind us!

UPDATE: From the comments: “I think the point of the comparison is this: Bush endured 8 years of wall-to-wall, 24/7 liberal bashing from multiple networks. Meanwhile, Obama was coronated and has enjoyed wall-to-wall adoration from the same multiple networks. If Obama’s numbers, 11 months in, already approach Bush’s after EIGHT years, then, baby, you’ve got serious problems.

Just think about that for a second. By the way, Obama is polling under 47%. HopeNchange !!!LOL

I would not classify myself as an Obama fanboy, but I would not want to have W as a president again. Compared to now, the country was fat (still is) happy and enjoying their home equity machines while the chickens were plotting the trip home to roost (current debacle). That poll shows how ignorant our country still is.

What this country really needs is to stop looking for a hero to save BAU, since it can't be saved.

Mos is right lol - but I think a great start would be picking leaders based on qualifications instead of popularity...except that will never happen.

It is not their qualifications that are the problem it is the fact that the last 9 Presidents have been corrupt scum. Even Carter bowed down to the NWO banker cartels. We have not had real president since Kennedy. Every president since then has been selling out the US to various special interests.

I'm thinking about it but all I'm getting is that at least 44% of Americans are as thick as mud. Am I close?

The real problem is that all presidents are vetted through the same machine. By the time all the deals are done, there winds up being not a dimes worth of difference between the two acceptable candidates.

Obama’s current difficulties come from the fact that he presented himself as something different. He formed a personality cult. He had no problem in presenting himself as the messiah. It’s a difficult act. It’s a short run. The true believers expect miracles. When they don’t get them, adoration turns to revulsion.

I gave up on voting many years ago and decided to look for solutions from within.

Darker Looking Bush Accepts The Peace Prize
http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=12625

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'O')SLO — President George Bush, looking quite thin, tall and tan, accepted the Nobel Peace Prize Thursday, defending his ability to seek peace while fighting two wars abroad.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')sn’t Obama doing everything the Liberals complained that Bush did, except Obama’s actually doing more of it!

Imperial Presidency – CHECK
Ballooning the Deficit – CHECK
Escalating the War – CHECK
Trampling the Constitution – CHECK
Hiding things (no transparency) – CHECK

Cutting Medicare – CHECK

Jefferson owned slaves. Ron Paul doesn't believe in global warming or peak oil. Kennedy started Vietnam and probably would have wound up like Clinton due to his womanizing.

Again, you guys have to stop bargaining. Eve if you did get some perfect candidate, there is nothing that can be done. Even if tarp 2 hadn't gone through, we had already hit the iceberg. All that is going on now is fantacizing about some alternate path that wouldn't have been any better than what we've got, no matter what peter schiff and his ilk say.

People could see the positive in the situation - that we have more of an incentive to power down. The economy in the crapper means we'll have to economize on resources. If we're worried about increased taxes going to banksters, we can reduce our need to earn, which we should be doing anyway. The US has already shown a reduction in CO2 emissions due to the slowed economy

Make lemonade out of those lemons! :P
