Let me make this clear.

You --->

Are an idiot, if you believe in all of this BS

A plutoid of that size and given its distance away from the earth "more than 2.7 billion miles" and given its size; you dumb idiots, can not exert any form of pull that would effect another planetary body, unless the mass / density of the object exceeds all known physical laws.

and even if you quacks knew what you were talking about, the best you could hope for or claim, would be that a shadow effect of 1/r^2 (where R is the distance between two bodies) and that this "imaginary planet" X is actually canceling out the gravitational effects of other bodies within the solar system, you could still not even come close to deriving any proof yourself of any such body existing within the heavens and thus asking me to disprove something that is make believe amounts to asking someone to disprove to a three year old that Santa does exist.

I am sorry if peak oil, the war crisis, and the asteroid headed towards earth isn't enough doom and gloom for you; that you have to look to other nut job scenarios, but enough is enough. Get back on planet earth and if you have to much fucking time on your hands, go to the fucking pound an adopt a stray animal that will otherwise be put to sleep.

I think it's a seductive idea that's easy to adopt if you don't do you due dilligence to see whether the evidence presented is bogus or not. It's just very easy to make something sound scholarly or look genuine when it's not. Especially photographic stuff like the legendary "Nephilim" photo which are easily created in Photoshop:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('golem', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('outcast', 'I')'ll make a new thread about this if it gets ignored, here is an article written by a REAL solar physicist for Universe Today, and it does a good job of explaining how this woowoo came about:

To Summarize: Nibiru doesn't exist.

I'm just pointing out the error in trying to portray your "facts" by using characters from the George Lucas Star Wars universe.

I mean really, I expect better. Next I suppose we'll see pictures of Smurfs to illustrate the strengths and successes of socialist societies?

Point being, its not your best work by any stretch. :)

As for drugs in use thats well known. Peyote, tobacco, mushrooms. Using drugs in the course of religion and or celebration is certainly nothing new. In fact, its been done most likely since the beginning of time. Hell even the christians use wine although not in any meaningful amount. That use is more symbolic then anything.

Ugh, I've watched more teletubbies then I ever care to admit. Why oh why did you have to post that.

As for advertising, I know. Most likely because I dont buy into all the hopla and bullshit they advertise. I cant honestly believe how effective some of it is. I mean really, advertising actually gets people motivated to buy shit they have no use for whatsoever......

Ok, I guess I do kind of fall into that trap. I bought a reloading scale once that I havent used.....yet.....Does that count? :-D

Otherwise, nope. I dont buy new clothes to look fashionable or cool. My TV is a hand me down from my grandfather. 27" RCA. Dont have a big house and dont think of my house as a piggy bank. Cars are paid for and no plans to buy one on payment. I just dont see how people get sucked in to all the bullshit.....

Now as to the symbol. Its a windmill. Its an effective design in harnessing the power of wind to do work. Why do you choose to tie a device designed with a function to a symbol designed with religious or supernatural meaning?
edit

I am interested in what you think of the color and sound though.

You nailed it.

Air movement. From high pressure to low pressure zones. In an effort to equialize the air pressure you get air currents.

The sun has the biggest part to do with it, in fact has a lot to do with just about everything on this planet. Its the foundation upon which earth rests. Light provides life, much the same way water does.

So the Wheel golem mentions in Mexico City is a representation of the sun?

But this still doesnt really bring us to a valid correlation between a windmill design and the mystical. I mean one might as well comment about the same connection between a tire and the Wheel in Mexico City.

But the simple fact is the tire being round is the only shape which can perform the function it does.

I'm all for correlations and connections where they exist, but shapes being used in certain applications to meet a specific design requirement is hardly a connection to the mystical. A windmill functions due to the design. Any shape outside of a circle would be far more difficult to make.

Simply put, a circle is the easiest shape to make to meet the design goals, regardless of that particular shapes use in mystical or religious decorations.

Fair and balanced report in Yahoo... NOT

Unread postby neocone » Thu 03 Dec 2009, 14:15:52

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Oil-suppl ... et=&ccode=

Speaking of which... how come:

1) Energy reports are always rosy and *ONLY* people who have a vested interest in a cornucopian vue are interviewed (Bankers, Car makers etc...)

2) Housing are always rosy and *ONLY* people who have a vested interest in a cornucopian vue are interviewed (NAR etc...)

Me think that maybe some bias is in there (sarcastic tone)?

One geologist described Peak Oil as the race between 2 horses: Demand collapse vs. Production collapse...

In that prism oil will remain at a steady (high) price for the happy few living a somewhat good live in a now third world pyramid extending to all countries of the planet.

After all in Somalia they do have gasoline for their "technicals"...

Yahoo has never done much more than buy happy talk puff articles from AP, Reuters, et. al.

They're not a news organization. They're People magazine, just far dumber and aimed at teens and 20- somethings (like a gun). Who else would actually be naive enough to take the advice on their front page?

Add CNN Money too since that article comes from there.

I am starting to think that just like the stock market, Peak Oil will be a mostly psychological thing.

The "Law of large numbers" prevails for the human mind: Anything large enough is tantamount to infinity... hence 10 mbp or 100 are pretty much the same for the avarage layman.

Some impoverished societies have 1000 times less power consumption than the average american per capita... so lots of room to devolve the masses into abject poverty while still offering lottery tickets for the good life of a happy few.

Total apocalypse/revolution/attack of the rich can only happen if there is no hope for a better life, but the average Joe will accept to live in a mud shack with no running water and no toilets as long as he can have a gazillionth of a chance to be one of the few in patrolled gated communities for the rich.

Expect lotteries and casinos to flourish (alternative energy bonds, investments in "the next big thing", etc...) and become the savior of the same cabale that created the current mess :x

(Just like in the collapse of the USSR, the apparatchiks had first dibs in the privatization of state companies and mutated the communist party into simply the mafia).

You basically have to listen to what Ron Paul, a few others in congress (very few) to get an idea of the "truth" ... Other then that, in media at least, they are all bought and paid/owned by the corporate machine. I see Ron Pauls son has a good chance getting into the senate in the state of Kentucky. I also like Paul Farrel from Marketwatch. I think that guy has a clue and can't believe he even gets to put some of those articles on their website, which is very mainstream.

I love the slant that most mainstream sources put on stories about Cuba, Venezuela, Iran and Russia. Its not like the US hasn't done anything evil in the past. They must think people reading these articles are retarded.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')hey must think people reading these articles are retarded.
Or just completely ignorant of what actually happened. Most people I talk to have no idea why the Iranians stormed our embassy in 1979. They assume the Iranians hate us for our freedoms and that they are a threat to our way of life.

This is the goal. To bamboozle people. Our schools don't teach much real history. To learn that stuff, one has to actually go to a library and pick up a book or two. Most people don't have time and would rather just read the short little articles on sites like yahoo. This allows more time for them to twitter, facebook (verb), watch reality shows, and to download Iphone apps.

Intellectual pursuits are frowned upon. Science, at least in America, is viewed as fiction or at least with skepticism by about half the population. I believe this is by design.

Critical thinkers and people who have a modicum of understanding of our current situation on the planet (energy, geopolitics, history, climate changing) don't buy the Expletive deleted.such as what is presented as truth in the OP's article and Neocone you are, IMHO, 100% correct.

Sadly, based on my anecdotal evidence, that is less than 10% of the people in the US. Can't speak for Europe or Australia.
A nations military should only be used in a nations self defense, not to entertain liberal cravings for shaping poor nations into images of themselves by force. -- Eastbay
