Genentech Ghostwriting Congressmens' Speeches

Unread postby mattduke » Mon 16 Nov 2009, 20:20:28

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')n the official record of the historic House debate on overhauling health care, the speeches of many lawmakers echo with similarities. Often, that was no accident.

Statements by more than a dozen lawmakers were ghostwritten, in whole or in part, by Washington lobbyists working for Genentech, one of the world’s largest biotechnology companies.

...and they read them. It's not that our politicians are 100% corrupt. It's that politics is corruption.

When you pay them a bunch of money they are supposed to say what you want.

We have watched the heirloom congressmen become hybridized and then go on to be genetically engineered to properly thrive in conjunction with the application of the correct commercial companion products. Having given up
the heirloom characteristic, I suppose the family political dynasty thing
will be lost, but the consolation is, the corporations will be able to get
almost double the yield out of one congressman in a single season as
they could before, and after that anyone else who tries to plant them
again will only get a mutant dwarf, or even worse, no green shoots
whatsoever.

Ready for round up? Yes they are...

Well they are busy writing all of those important bills. I'm sure Genetech also offered them a irresistible price. Excuse my sarcasm, but the whole government, media, society, life, is seems like a house of mirrors in a funhouse. I mean i've watched the house and senate live in action on television and they never seem to be very productive, or enlitened by their career choices. I'm sure most of them aren't even listening to their peers as they give these grandiose speeches about saving the world, or whatever they talk about. Instead they're dreaming about what hooker they get to spend the night with, or how many vicodin they have left to get them through the session.
