Anyone see it or have seen this film? Quite good, although the main guy in it annoyed me intensely for some reason. He was far too full of himself and so obviously just doing it for his career.

apart from that, it was interesting, but i dont really get what he was trying to prove. doesnt everyone know that if you eat shit all day long, every day, you are going to be ill/fat/feeling very bad?

personally, i cant take more than about 1 mcdonalds a year. i physically feel weakened after them, and i come out in a sweat. not good. they also tend to give me a very sore/inflated stomach and flatulence.. :)

i was absolutely shocked at the size of the portions in the usa though. the large juice was f**king enormous! it had 42 teaspoons of sugar in it!! im luck if i eat that much sugar in the space of a couple of weeks.

I watched it with my kids! Totally disgusting. I can't imagine eating McD's for a month. I am so glad I didn't get started with fast food for my kids, we might go twice a year. When we went out about a week after the movie, we drove past a McD's and my 8yo said he never wanted to eat there again.

I think most people don't realize that eating out once a week is about the same as eating it for a month. They want to blame obesity on genetics not willpower or what they put into their bodies. It's so much easier.

Actually I can attest that this is not true at all. I'm underweight and I eat out at Wendy's about once a week (Spicy Chicken Sandwich/Chili/Coke) and sometimes when I'm at home, I'll probably eat out 4 times a week. I'm mildly active - no active sports, but I jump around and use the stairs (4th floor) alot. But then again, I also skip meals when I don't feel hungry at all... a problem I find with the fatter population (they follow the clock to eat..)

I think the food isn't the BIG problem - that's blaming someone/something else (an industry here in America). I find its the mentality of the people that get them to be ginormous.

What scared me the most was not McDonalds rather the underhand power of large corporations to sway the government and to make sure their shit food was dished out to school children all over the country.

Many immigrants in the USA went fat there. Their mentality maybe changed, but I find it more likely that it was the food they were eating.

In fact, the experts in nutrition think that the weight of people depends essentially on 3 factors: the type of food they eat, the amount of exercise they do and their genetics. Their mentality doesn't really enter very much in the equation, except for people with eating disorders.

Agreed - this was the most important point of the film in my opinion.

Also scary was the moment when the guy held up the pictures to the little children and asked them to identify the person in the picture. He was holding up the picture of Jesus and none of the little kids seemed to recognise Jesus apart from one kid who ventured 'George Bush?' 8O
