Peak oil sobered me up.

listen , most of the oil people use goes to transportation...

the entire us highway system was a gaint conspiracy by the auto manufactures to get people to buy garbage cars they didn't need.

There is always going to be oil around..and community farming etc is where its going.....it doesn't take much to generate electricity - it just takes will. here in the san francisco bay there is the potential hydro elelctric power of 3 nuclear reactors ( so I here) ... but the politicians and business's simply don't give a shi*....they only care about themselves.

I am fu**ing estatic about Peak oil..

why?

Im hoping it will finally force people in this stupid f**ing sheeple industrialised way of life out of denial...

the whole economic collapse scenerio I think is funny.

I think its god damn hillarious in fact.

just the thought that it might get so bad that people start hunting down the fortune 500 and giving them a taste of hell just makes me warm and giddy inside.

I mean , alot of very well-off people might end up having to confront a mass of people that have grown up on garbage education, corporate media bombardment,....some who may have ended up as gang members , in jail and otherwise completley DESENSITIZED as a result of this atomised filthy mindwarping lifestyle.

so..

I'm embracing it with open arms.

Ahh, but you presume that you will be immune to the effects. Are you so sure that you will not be seen as prey by the ravening wolves? From their perspective, you may be as much a target as anyone else.

Anyone who is over 30 in 2008 might be viewed one of the guilty by young people.

Remember the 1960s battle cry, "Don't trust anyone over 30"? That could come around again.

correction...

I am assuming I can adapt....which is the only assumption worth entertaining ...there isn't much of a choice now is there....

Adapt? Yes, but quickly - and with little preparation or training. However, if you want really good training, I hear that the armed forces are looking for new recruits in the special forces....

I'm quite serious, by the way. If things get serious, the skills needed will, I think, include the ability to do the things those fine folks do.

as I was saying:

there isn't much of a choice now is there....

anyway..... im already over the initial psychological shock of this shit.

if you could survive the regan era in the hood.... you can survive peak oil.

there's people packed in jails for petty things - the only people "worried" are people that have fluffy-land as their lifestyle.

either sombody will eventually drop the nuke bomb or bio weapon or they wont' - I have no control over that so its not worth my attention to worry about. only thing im concerned with is doing whats within my power... so I stick with that.

I concur, for the most part, with Bill. This "modern," materialistic lifestyle we're living is vapid and empty; devoid of any real value. As soon as I can teach myself to live off the land, I'll be embracing peak oil with open arms as well.
