Sitting it is all about MONEY. They find a new "source of revenue" and soon the budget exceeds it so they need to find a new "source of revenue".

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smallpoxgirl', 'T')he big question is can you buy a rod and reel with your food stamps?

Rod? Reel? Nah.

Remember that hard times are headed our way. So, the big question is how many poke berries do I need to crush and throw into any given creek to stun the fish so I can wade in and pick them up. :)

Nope... They call it in to dispatch and figure out who you are. I suppose they would call the local authorities if they thought you were lying? Not sure. If your fishing from shore, the chance of getting caught is going to be VERY LOW. Out of the 20+ years i've been fishing, i have been stopped 5 times, so once every 4 years. 2 of those times were on July 4th (they are everywhere that day), 1 time was up north (seems they hit those lakes harder then here), and was stopped couple times deer hunting.

The cost of a license is so little...

You can't hide from mercury. I've had amalgams for probably close to 20 years...
lawns should be outlawed.

The real problem with trying to fish in Florida is that there's something like 18 million people there and the fishing lines cross other's fishing lines.

Go to the Naples pier (Naples Florida). There's a big sign that says:

"Fishing from this pier is free, The city of Naples has bought your fishing license for you" :)

‘Fishing continued’ after East China sea oil spill

Fishing continued at the site of a massive oil spill in the East China Sea for days after the incident, satellite images obtained by the BBC suggest. Most of the fishing vessels in the affected region were identified as Chinese. There have been major concerns over possible contamination in seafood and marine life in and around the region. The spill occurred after an oil tanker collided with another cargo ship on 6 January before sinking days later. It was transporting 136,000 tonnes, or almost one million barrels, of ultra-light crude oil, known as condensate, to South Korea. It is feared to be highly toxic and is invisible, unlike the shimmering slick on the sea-surface seen after crude-oil leaks. Experts say it is the first time petroleum product of this type has spilled in such huge quantity. Independent experts say fishing was not stopped until much later and
