Agreed. WAR / and or PLAUGE.
We need no bank holiday as they have already been nationalized ( TARP) and if not, can be made so overnight.
Any talk of embassies stockpiling FOOD ,WATER, and AMMO???

I think I'll just toss the 'North American Union' into this mix. You might remember that a Canadian newspaper said last spring (2008) that the NAU was scheduled to become a reality in May 2010. That's within the one year period mentioned in the OP.
