$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', 'P')A used to be one of the hard-core Cornies (as PlantedAgent).

His nick has always been Plantagenet, which has nothing to do with plants, or agents for that matter. It's actually the name of a 12th century royal house (so you can see his delusions of grandeur right up front)...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('DoomWarrior', 'G')eorge W. Bush virtually destroyed America, and on that basis alone, he merits the trademark as "Worst President EVER"

Well George W. Bush did get voted in a second time. This in my mind means America deserves everything W set in motion.

The second time i.e. re-election should have been a ground swell against GW Bush. Instead the US got swiftboat veterans or something similar to discredit Kerry. NOT that I want either to win.

Shame there is only a two party electoral system closely tied to a corporate agenda.

Reagan & GWB are tied neck-and-neck as far as I am concerned.

Reagan achieved (by accident or design) the defeat of the US's long term strategic enemy the Soviet Union. His policies of huge deficit spending on the millitary forced the USSR to the point of collapse. His failures on prepairing the US to deal with ecological and energy issues needs to be stacked against this, his supporters could argue he bought the space that subsiquent presidents failed to exploit. It may have been blind luck but his strategic success places him far ahead of many former presidents.

Clinton dilly dallied around and achieved little, either in terms of help or harm to the long term issues. His presidency was by and large an amorphous fudge of the status quo. He did gain control over spending and make progress on cutting the deficit, but missed many open goals on energy, the enviroment and the US strategic position.

Bush I was the last real Republican president. Old school East Coast patriachial wealth but lacking the messianic Christianity that has subsiquently taken over the party. His positive contribution was the safe management of the dismanteling of the Soviet empire without provoking the old guard. A historic non entity.

Bush II is such a clusterfuck on every level that he is the embodyment of the babyboomers. He was host in chief of the last great American kegger party.

Obama is still far too early into his reign to form substansive opinions. His economic populism does not look bode well but I am impressed by his apparent diplomatic subtlety.

Not the worst president every, but by far the most overrated. I just don't understand the conservative fascination with Ronnie. While he did dissolve the USSR (which likely would have happened anyway), he is one of the primary reasons we have uncontrollable deficit spending, illegal immigration problems, manufacturing disintegration, unproven trickle down economics, and unregulated defense spending.

Completely overrated. Not the worst president ever (that title goes to W, with Obama likely getting the nod here shortly), but certainly not one of the best.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', 'h')istory will probably give Clinton more responsibility for the computer/dotcom boom. He promoted free trade and sold lots of copies of Windows 98 for Microsoft.

I'm sure he had something to do with it but do we really want to blame poor Bill for Windows 98? Seems the other Bill should at least share some of the blame.

Good Point. Let Bill Gates have Windows. Bill Clinton is better known for popularizing another high tech breakthrough---- the use of DNA in trials to identify the source of.....uh......stains.

Worst is too subjective, as there are so many interest groups that have different agenda's; to some he was probably the best. :(

From a foreigners perspective, stupidest or most ridiculous is a more interesting debate. I think he probably shades Bush for both those titles.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Prince', 'N')ot the worst president ever, but by far the most overrated. I just don't understand the conservative fascination with Ronnie. While he did take the credit for dissolving the USSR (which likely would have happened anyway),

Fixed that for you, Prince. :)
