$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('SoothSayer', ' ')I joined a professional society of oil engineers and scientists so that I could attend their meetings and talk to REAL people who understand about oil.
It was expensive and took time BUT at least I can say that I have discussed PO with mudloggers, petroleum engineers and top energy company directors etc.
What society of "oil" engineers did you join and where are the meetings?
Here is the Society of Petroleum Engineers requirements for membership.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')I am employed in work related to the petroleum industry, AND I have a university degree equivalent to a 4-year Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, basic or applied sciences; or 2-year science or engineering degree; or a 4-year degree in a field other than science or engineering; OR 6 years of active practice in support of petroleum engineering or in the application of science in the petroleum industry.
