Actually it´s more serious than that, by using a special algorithm, it´s possible to capture a picture using a computer monitor, and a web page with this algorithm was created with the purpose to prove that this image capture is feasible.

This kind of thing has been getting the round about since the 1950's when tv was first introduced, people were convinced that if a TV could receive a video signal, than it could send a video signal as well and that the government was spying on them.
