Munqi you are fairly new here so maybe you haven't got us all figured out yet. I have trouble keeping everyone straight too.

I get high and mighty on no one. Ever.

Bad on the Palestinians for having a zoo. Zoos are creepy.

Slaughtering zoo animals as part of a military operation is tough for me to comprehend. Maybe it was just for fun or even some kind of religious thing for the Israeli's, but non-Israeli's will probably never really know what motivated the IDF to do this.

Animals in zoos get eaten in bad economic times. Happened in the US and will again. Zoos are creepy and are only here because humans are land parasites. Humans are just nasty in nature....

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', 'C')ould have just as easily been the savages in Gaza who shot the animals before they left to use it as propaganda. I put nothing past them. Savages......

The savage invaders appear to have all departed from Gaza, so for now at least there should be no repeats of such utter and incomprehensible savagery.

Speaking critically of the Israeli slaughter of zoo animals is racist? Is it anti-semitic too?

This is getting rich!

Why they did it? Who knows. But in my opinion its an insult to those palestinians who died in that conflict to start whining about a couple of dead animals.

Maybe the animals were starving and they decided to shoot them instead of letting them suffer? Or maybe a couple of soldiers really were that fucked up in that they killed those animals for fun. Some times young people loose it in a war. You might remember the american soldier who threw a puppy off a cliff in Iraq. Im sure he wasnt a bad person when he went in there.

Whatever the reason, im sure we can all agree that the IDF does not have an official policy of shooting every animal in sight for the fun of it. If this was not done by a few screwed up individuals then the motive must have been an understandable one (like the example i gave) and if it was then the IDF is as much responsible as the US army was for that puppy.

edit: Suggesting that their motive for killing those animals was a religious one actually IS anti-semitic.

They did it partly because they knew they could get away with it. They know they can get away with anything once they start an attack.

The Americans who tossed the puppy were punished. The Israeli's who slaughter zoo animals and children KNOW they will not be punished.

That is called 'official sanction'. They are pre-approved by the IDF leadership to do whatever their twisted drives tell them to do. Again, non-Israeli's simply can't begin to understand what causes them to act in such an obscene and horrific manner.

Earlier I asked 'why?' rhetorically, but non-Israeli's probably can never know the answer. It is beyond our comprehension.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('eastbay', 'T')hey did it partly because they knew they could get away with it. They know they can get away with anything once they start an attack.

Ok so now you're saying that the IDF has an official policy that encourages them to do every sick thing that they come up with it? That israeli soldiers are encouraged to be sadistic bastards?

If you dont agree with the israeli leadership of how they should be dealing with the palestinians then great, im with you there, but you go further than that. You keep spreading this image that all israelis are sick animals who enjoy torturing puppies and palestinians. I dont know what your motives are but i do know that you're not being very objective about this whole thing.

Now answer my question: Hamas - terrorists or freedom fighters?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Munqi', 'N')ow answer my question: Hamas - terrorists or freedom fighters?

Mujahideen- terrorists or freedom fighters? ANC- terrorists or freedom fighters? and so on. Always a matter of perspective, always utterly subjective. Individual answers reveal little about the reality on the ground, and insistence on such a simplistic, black and white reading of the situation is certainly part of the problem.
