Want my honest answer? No. But, at this point, the average person doesn't deserve mercy. If you want my honest answer, we've become monsters.
The only obvious exception to this would be the children who are too young to have been complicit with this disaster of a society.
Other than that, no, I don't think we'll be let off easy and we don't deserve to be.
