IOUSA documentary

Unread postby Bas » Tue 23 Dec 2008, 20:52:25

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')ake up, America! We're on the brink of a financial meltdown. I.O.U.S.A. boldly examines the rapidly growing national debt and its consequences for the United States and its citizens. Burdened with an ever-expanding government and military, increased international competition, overextended entitlement programs, and debts to foreign countries that are becoming impossible to honor, America must mend its spendthrift ways or face an economic disaster of epic proportions.

So what's the plan here, anyway? Come up with some kind of new currency like the Amero with a ridicuously high rate compared to the dollar, then easily pay off our debts with a supercurrency?

I don't think an "Amero" would help one bit, it won't help Americans saving, the trade deficit or the budget deficit.

Cut spending, raise taxes. That's all there is to it.
