8) A flaw in the pole question. Cats and dogs live together already. Just not peacefully which was omitted from the question.

Our cat lives really peacefully with our dog. She swats at the dog's tail if it's wagging, but that's okay.

I have ceased to wonder what will happen next. It looks like the next ugly thing may be in Gaza.

apart from the Cats and dogs I think we'll see a Chinese man on the moon before any of these things happen.

My prediction: the only thing Chinese we'll ever see on the moon is that rabbit. We look up at the full moon and see a face, but the Chinese see a rabbit. I have to admit, those patterns of light and dark do look like a rabbit.

Decisions, decisions! Now, if the question, 'Which of these events are most likely to happen next?,' had been: 'Which of these events would you like to see happen next?,' I might be able to narrow it down faster. :)

Edit: typo

Cats and dogs will never live together, but they can coexist side by side with only occasional spats.

Much like India and Pakistan.

Yeah, Yellowstone blowing it's top would be pretty cool! Then again if Pakistan and India nuked each other then we could say, 'finally got it over with. Took long enough! Guess its time for IBM and Microsoft to answer their own damned customer questions here at home.'

Cats and and one dog, anyway, are currently living in our house, so I voted that option. It's possible, but not entirely likely, we will acquire another dog in the near future, but I think it is more likely than the other scenarios. So cats and dogs living together is more likely, at least on a local level, than the other scenarios, in my opinion.

To the extent that there is only one of you, shouldn't this be "Cop" and not "Cops"?

Oh, this is funny. 'its' means it is, it's is the possessive form. Or so I thought. I went to dictionary.com and found that they are in complete confusion about this urgent matter. Where can I turn? Who can I trust?

It's (it is) is the correct form here, no confusion necessary.

Which is referring to "which ONE", so IS is correct as well (singular form).

For further confirmation of this matter, ask Auntie_Cipation...

Well, you haven't clarified anything. It's means belonging to it. Its means it is.

Okay y'all, simmah daahn nah...

Sometimes an apostrophe indicates a possessive -- if Bob owns the building, it's Bob's building.

Other times, an apostrophe is a substitute for missing letter or letters. In that case, Bob's building might mean "Bob is building".

For the word its, the apostrophe is used NOT for the possessive but for the missing letter...

ie
it's = it is
whereas its = possessive.

Sorry, PMS, you had it backwards.

-- Auntie the word-geek

PS -- I think the first disaster will be economic, with job losses and state budget fiascos (at least in some big states) triggering cascading belt-tightenings. I'd put yellowstone and india/pakistan tied for second, since we already have established that
