Bohemian Rhapsody by choir of 12,000 - Inspiring

Unread postby Quinny » Tue 02 Dec 2008, 20:32:26

Hi

Just returned from Young Voices 2008.

A choir of 12,000 schoolchildren perfomed a concert over 2 hrs with a wide selection of music including popular, musicals, carols, opera, african, hip-hop.

The highlight (for me) was a performance of bohemain rhapsody by a young pop star supported by the choir of 12,000. Really did send shivers down your spine. It was only because it was more my era though as the Coldplay song sang by opera singer Summer backed by the choir was emotional and haunting to a degree I haven't experienced in a long time.

The South African Violinist In-Cha was also incredible.

Could go on forever, but was Inspired at the way individual talent and collective singing worked together to give such a marvellous performance. If you ever get the chance, I'd recommend anyone to go see it!

Haven't got link of this year, but his is a short clip from last year.
