A lot of those cartoons seem to suggest it's normal to have high gasoline prices in the spring.

I thought it wasn't. Who is right?

Of all of the lot, which I characterize as whining about the symptoms, this one comes the closest to getting at the heart of the matter.

Kudos to you, Christo.

$2.00 for regular? $2.15 for premium?

I haven't seen those since January. Our local gas stations here charge $2.41 to $2.53 for the cheap stuff. One station is hawking premium for $2.79.

Still, its cheap compared to Europe.

Boy, this country is full of whiners...

I posted this one once before:

I also thought this one made a good point vis-a-vis alternatives, though I kind of suspect he was just making a joke:

The comics have grasped the concept of EROEI! Too bad they seem to think it's a joke...

There are some good cartoons on www.gaspig.com you kinda have to dig in there a couple of levels, but much levity to be had! (not recommended for SUV drivers) :P

The first and last ones.
I want to put out the fires of Hell, and burn down the rewards of Paradise. They block the way to God. I do not want to worship from fear of punishment or for the promise of reward, but simply for the love of God. - Rabia
