I've heard this invalid argument many times. Slightly rephrased, it asserts that if a group of people are not organized politically in certain specific ways, then they do not have any right to own property. It seems to me that this conclusion is wrong.

The fact is, the Palestinians did possess the land, worked upon it, and owned it in every practical sense. Then a bunch of foreigners came in, some British and some Jews, and they decided to disrespect the Palestinian's property rights by seizing it and chasing the original owners away, killing them if they did not run fast enough.

How I look forward to seeing the tables being turned. I look forward to when the arguments which the Palestinians are using now come spilling out of the mouths of dispossessed Jews. I look forward to watching those cleverly loquacious hypocrites get their comeuppance.

What you mention are effects to the cause thats Occupation. Occupy and you'll be resisted. The cause, occupation, should be debated for a viable solution and not its effects- resistance..

I remember this passage from Thomas Friedman's book- From Beirut to Jerusalem where he recounts the story of a rabbi, who most likely had come from somewhere outside of the region, and his family going to Hebron and staying in a guesthouse. They never left and claimed that was their new home. Army had to back them up and so did the politicians because it was election time.

Calling them savages and building walls on your border so they can't kill you is not the same as loading them into camps and massacring them. Also, Nazi Germany didn't have nukes, instead, their policies led to the emigration of the scientists who helped create America's. If the war had lasted a few more months, Jewish Science (as Hitler called it) would've finished them off, like it did Japan.

Those same pacifists, wheeling, dealing, forming civilian armies, and smuggling weapons so they can create a nation which never existed on top of a barbarian people, and later convincing the world's superpower to give it money and [better] weapons, that takes some. :razz:

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Religion is BS. And it should come as no surprise that Zionism was a largely secular movement, and its success was achieved by people who could think rationally without any fairy tales to cloud their judgment. My "Republic of Texas" neighbors are "Jewish" when its convenient. They say we are goyem and they are Gods chosen people. One day we asked them to pick up our boy at school (we always picked up their kids). They forgot; the school spent an hour frantically calling around trying to get someone to get him. Kinda made me wonder who they would back in a crisis....
