Happy BDay Jay!!
If the American people ever allow the banks to control issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers occupied. Honey, as an old friend once told me, "Don't worry about 30. Worry about 40".

Nov. 1, 1978, 9:02 PM, somewhere on the east coast, am I right? If you want, I can check out your horoscope. Long distance, of course.

Someone once asked Studs Terkel:"Who would want to live to be 80?"

Studs replied: "Most anyone 79."

He died a day ago at 96.

Middle-age is when half your juice is gone, 30 is when you just start learning what juice is for.

At any rate, Happy Birthday!

The day will come when you officially will be dead. Life is short. Not much you can do about it. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Suits me fine but I have to wait.

Reminded me of the old joke.

Excited new bull arrives at stud farm to meet old bull in main field.

NB - 'Hey look at all those cute cows down the bottom of the field lets run down and f*** one.'

OB - 'Lets walk down and f*** em all.'

Yer jest a babe.

At 30 you're just figuring things out. Give yourself a few years or ten to say you're half done. Or are you only planning to live to 60?

I hear ya. I remember this episode from The Simpsons where it was clear they were all going to die. Homer had a heart to heart talk with Bart and said, well, son I've had a long life. Bart was not pleased.

Happy B-day Jason!!!

Do you think 30 is old??

That's not middle aged, you are still in the all important 18 to 34 year old demographic that marketers use, ya mimbo.....

It will all sink in as you hit 35, then 40....

I just turned 45 just a few weeks back, and I wasn't even depressed!!!!

when I was a boy, I always looked older due to my height. I was the youngest in any company. Than once i found myself to be oldest among 20+ people on some party. I was 21. i felt old. So yeah, Jason-- wanna be young again-- stay around old people a lot.
I dont think any birthday is more depressing than 30-- not saying that its better to be 35/40/45/whatever, but realizing that the best half of you life is gone , and you wasted most of it through work and study-- its pretty bad. Man is born to hunt, to fight, to travel , to fuc* finally. Man is born to be a man, not to be a slave or a castrated citizen.

That is exactly how I have been feeling lately. I have to get out there and do something. I need to live the life I want, instead of being chained to the one I have.

I had a great uncle who, at 99, said that, "The best thing about getting this old is that you have no enemies - because they're all frickin' dead!" He lived another 2 years, and was the oldest of his brothers to die (but they all made it into their 90's).

Sadly, my father (his nephew) died at 51.

I'll be glad to split the difference.

"30" just means your old enough to have a valid opinion, but still too young to know what's good for you. :)

Happy Birthday!

Believe me, the next 10 years go by much faster...
