Local Tale of Heroism

Unread postby eastbay » Tue 14 Oct 2008, 12:24:25

This is the initial TV coverage of the family hiking along near a local waterfall when a rock slide suddenly occurred.

The father threw himself on top of his young children[/url] protecting them from the falling rocks and saving their lives. But he later died from massive head trauma.

A true hero. A heartbreaking story. He acted as most of us hope we too would act.

What a terrible tragedy! Things happen that can change your life in an instant. My heart goes out to that family. A person as heroic as that father doesn't deserve to die.

Nor did that older man who seems to have fallen over the falls.
