Take the wayback machine to 1931

Once I built a railroad, I made it run, made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad; now it's done. Brother, can you spare a dime?
Once I built a tower, up to the sun, brick, and rivet, and lime;
Once I built a tower, now it's done. Brother, can you spare a dime?

Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?
Viddy well, little brother. Viddy well.

Bing Crosby, great voice, apparently a real sack of crap of a person. I remember reading that he'd tell directors that child actors were forbidden from addressing him directly.
Massive Human Dieoff must occur as a result of Peak Oil. Many more than half will die. It will occur everywhere, including where you live. If you fail to recognize this, then your odds of living move toward the "going to die" group.

In 1931 you could eat a good meal for a dime, and a room rented at a cheap motel would cost you a quarter. They need to up date this song for the new era, Brother can you spare a ten? Maybe a twenty? And for a one night room rent in a fleabag motel you better have 40 or more.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
