It seems like just yesterday... literally I swear, that the number of gloomy news reports on the business section of yahoo news far outweighed the bright news reports.

Today,

16 Bright news reports
4 Gloomy reports

Oil prices dropped for a month or so and everything was just A-OK

Meanwhile people in Taiwan have started make rat meat part of their daily diet. Haiti is in an extreme state of poverty and famine. Third world countries are already beginning to suffer due to oil shortages.

I would not be the least bit surprised if we see $200-$250 per barrel come early next summer.... Everyone seems to have settled down and pushed the issue of peak oil aside for the moment because gas prices have dropped

Well, it appears as though I have atleast 6 more months to prep :-D

I find watching the news daily about economy is confussing,, one day its down and looks bad and next day things seem to be looking better,,
It takes 2-3 months long to figure if economy is up or down,, I think in short with gas prices falling it might have some turn around but that will be short lived and gas prices will start to rise again as demand picks back up,,
the Iran and Russia thing has me worried,, if Isreal bombs Iran or Russia invades Poland then our economy will dive fast and oil might go past $200 for a short spell..

When I read bad news, I buy more food.
The worse the news, the more I buy.
After the Crash Course video series, I picked up 250 pounds of grains.

After the election in November, regardless of the results, 500 pounds of grains will find their way to my house.

I thought China/Taiwan has always ate rat meat or does it look better now with high price meat,, maybe its time to stop killing our rats and harvest them and inport them to China ???

To me Haiti has been in decline for some time now long before high price oil,, there goverment is made up of crooks and killers and the chicken is coming home to roost so to speak...
