I find this story to be the very essence of the human comedy. A man running for president. His wife dying of cancer. Both campaigning together.....she vows to keep campaigning for her husband even after her cancer progresses beyond hope. Meanwhile her husband is having it off on trips all over the world with a hot blond drugged out party girl, and paying her off with campaign donations from trusting little old ladies who think its so sweet that John loves his sick wife so much and Elizabeth loves John so much.

John Edwards was the only candidate who was a slam dunk to win as president, demographically. He had across the board appeal to the disenfranchised in both parties. He was slimed by the New York Times, ages ago, in favour of a mixed race candidate with a funny name and a she monster loathed by most republicans, certainly the ones who vote as a block, the Christian right wing. Guess who provided a lot of funding for Hillary? Republicans...Who remains a reliably obstructive force in the Democratic party....Yes, the she monster it is!!!Ding ding ding.

This is the most manufactured pile of sh**, I've ever seen, blown out of proportion by media shills, at the precise time Obama was looking for a running mate. Edwards would have been the obvious choice. An Obama Edwards ticket would have been pretty much unbeatable.

But no...most democrats don't quite get what's going on either. I basically don't give a hoot. I dislike nearly all pols equally, including Edwards. I'm just looking at the demographics and marvelling at how the mass of Americans could be so freaking dumb.
