$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('girlscout', 'I') took my son out for a walk this morning, and happened to run into one of our neighbors. His family must own half the town here - apartment complexes, stores, a mall under construction, a retirement community... the guy must be a millionaire, easily. He was complaining to me about the cost of heating oil (and everything else that is skyrocketing), and asked, "What are people gong to do this winter? We're thinking of being snowbirds and moving to Florida just to get out of here!" When the millionaire starts stressing about how he is going to pay to heat his house, it begins to make me a little nervous.
From my personal experience on the front lines of the construction, heating and heating fuels industries,
Nearly Everyone complains about the cost of electric, heating oil, kerosene, propane, wood, wood pellets, service, emergency service, parts, labor, markups, flat rate and equipment installation costs regardless of their income, debt, credit ratings, savings, assets and investments.
Many of my extremely wealthy neighbors own very efficient homes, second homes, or vacation homes that use very little fuel, yet they still complain about prices.
Judging buy the increases in traffic, tourism, new vehicles, roads, residential, commercial and industrial construction, nothing has hit the fan in my area. Even traffic in some of the rural areas is getting heavy. You have to floor it to merge into traffic in some of the suburban and rural areas or you'll end up sitting at stop sign forever.
