Fucking cry-babies.

Some of you will complain about anything.

Fuck
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

Swearing isn't "bad" in Buddhism... as long as it's born from a loving mind instead of ill will. And in this case, talking openly about the collapse of this industrial civilization... it's actually part of being HONEST. I want to say s.hit without punctuation when talking about PO!

That's what some say. Others say it's clearly 'harsh speech' and a precept violation. When kids read it it's not very helpful, that's for sure.
Differences exist with different branches of Buddhism, I am well aware.

I think zensui may be part of the hot-blooded Latino Buddhism branch. Sort of a Ricky Ricardo take on Nirvana.

The mental image of a bunch of Buddhist monks at a sock hop is quite pleasant.

I was at Disney World a few years ago and saw three Buddhist monks sitting together having some water. They looked just like these guys:
Image

Except one of them had a really nice camera around his neck. I HAD to talk to them they just looked so out of place there in the Magic Kingdom. I spoke with them for a minute and asked them if they would like me to take a picture of them all in front of Cinderella's castle. They looked at each other like "great idea" and I took a few shots of them with their camera. I then asked if they would mind if my wife took a picture of me with them in front of Cinderella's castle and they said that would be fine, so I have a couple of awesome shots of me and the Buddhist monks in the Magic Kingdom.

As I was parting ways with the guys I just blurted out something like "I just want you guys to know that...the robes, the camera, here in the Magic Kingdom...it's really amazing."

What's a sock hop? And why you keep making jokes about my religion+country? I don't even know your references to old, I guess, characters.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('zensui', 'W')hat's a sock hop?

Wiki
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')ock Hop is a term coined in the 1950s in the United States, following the growth in popularity of rock and roll, to refer to informal sponsored dances at American high schools, typically held on the grounds of the high school itself in the gymnasium or cafeteria. Music was often recorded, sometimes live.
Initially the term referred to the practice of removing one's shoes in order to dance in stocking feet, typically to spare the floor from the scuff marks of dress shoes.
In "Ready Teddy" (1956), Little Richard sings:
All the flattop cats and the dungaree dolls
Are headed to the gym for the sock hop ball

In subsequent decades, with the widespread popularity of sneakers and other types of shoes the practice of removing shoes was dropped and the term began to be applied more generally to any informal high school dance.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('zensui', 'I') don't even know your references to old, I guess, characters.

Here's a nice Ricky Ricardo medley for you.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('zensitivesui', 'A')nd why you keep making jokes about my religion+country?

I only joke around with people I like. If it bothers you, I'll stop.
Maybe. :-D

Me too.
Zensui, it's an American custom to trade jokes of all kinds with friends or people with whom one is friendly. If someone's not friends with someone else, or dealing with someone who is unfriendly toward them, our custom is generally- no joking.
It's why I call Pops a cantankerous old coot. It's why I like to tell PMS to shut his trap. It's all 'joking with friends'. :)
It's why I call you our favorite cussing Buddhist. If you want me to cease doing this I will.
Maybe.
